In 1997, Lingenfelter Performance Engineering collaborated with Hurst to produce a limited edition Lingenfelter/Hurst Pontiac Trans Am. Sales were minimal with eleven units made in 1997 and nine in 1998.

What was added by Lingenfelter to make these amazing cars?

58 mm throttle body
LPE CNC ported LT4 heads
LPE intake manifold
Competition Cams
1.6:1 roller rocker arms
heavy duty dual valve springs
Aluminum driveshaft
Hurst shifter
Borla cat-back exhaust
Accel system which includes the 300-plus ignition box.

All the mods gave the car a conservative power rating of just 360 horsepower, very impressive for 1997, especially when one considers that the C5 Corvette only produced 345 hp. The exterior was finished with the awesome black and gold paint scheme with Lingenfelter Hurst/Firebird emblems.
