The Ringbrothers F100 Is Everything You’d Expect And More

We’ve talked about Ringbrothers restomods before, with both their “Defector” Dodge Charger and the “Recoil” Chevy Chevelle blowing us away. Their projects are meticulously well-developed, so when I heard they’d turned their hands to a Ford F100, I was excited. The result is as incredible a truck as you’d expect. The F100, named “Clem 101” began with a 1954 body merged with a 1956 cab, backed up by a custom-built bed. Adding to this melange of Ford parts is a Crown Victoria subframe which has been installed to accommodate the F100’s new wheelbase, stretched by seven inches.

The truck’s mixed heritage is also evident in its design. While the cab is from a 1956 F100, the 1954’s chunky grille still remains afixed, and the bumpers below it are fully-custom chrome beauties. The running boards are also completely custom, while the original doors have had their edges rounded. Inside the cab, you’ll find an array of modern amenities including a Kicker stereo, new gauges, and Vintage Air.

It wouldn’t befit this bonkers F100 to be underpowered, and have no fear, it most certainly isn’t. The engine is a modern 5-liter Ford Coyote crate, as you’d find in a Mustang GT. This is accompanied by a Ford Racing injection system, and is mated to a four-speed Bowler automatic transmission.

The whole ride sits on some stunning wheels too. Clem 101’s forged wheels are by HRE, and measure in at 19×11 up front and 20×13 in the rear. If the pictures so far haven’t been enough, I’ve included a gallery below.
