1969 CHEVROLET CHEVELLE SS

396 CI, ROTISSERIE RESTORATION

The 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle saw minimal styling changes from the previous year, but the SS model changed from being a separate model to an option package. The SS suite was now available on everything from the Malibu sport coupe to the El Camino.

This true Super Sport underwent a frame-off rotisserie restoration that included a careful detailing of the undercarriage. The matching-numbers 396 CI Turbo Jet big-block V-8 engine is likewise very clean and mated to an automatic transmission with a console-mounted shifter. Optioned with power steering and power front disc brakes, the car rides on BF Goodrich Silvertown Radial redline tires mounted on 5-spoke Super Sport wheels.

Painted in LeMans Blue over arrow-straight sheet metal and finished with a beautifully contrasting white vinyl top, it shows excellent chrome and exterior brightwork, including bumpers, mirrors, window trim, exhaust tips and badging. The interior trim is classic Parchment on black, with Strato bucket seats, factory SS tachometer and gauges, center console, AM/FM radio and Soft Ray-tinted glass.
