The investment in creating this sterling showpiece, which amounts to approximately $325,000, is far from what the return was at Kissimmee. But the buyer made-out because at that price, you can be sure that no detail was left unattended in this nut-and-bolt build’s gleaming modern drivetrain, finely crafted interior trim and concours-quality finish. The look is classic Tri-Five, maintaining stock features and trim with the single custom touch of Billet Specialties Chicayne alloy wheels wearing high-performance Goodyear rubber.

The outward difference is in the finish: gleaming Silver Metallic paint over exceptional sheet metal and show-quality chrome and brightwork. In other words, standout work, a theme that carries through the rest of this wheeled gem. Antioch Auto Trim of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, installed the black and gray interior highlighted by a padded billet steering wheel on a chromed tilting column, air conditioning and heat and a custom stereo system. Here again, the essence of the original remains, but the execution is exceptional, as it is under the surface.

Opening the hood reveals a GM Performance ZZ502 engine using aluminum heads, forged crank, pistons and rods and digital fuel injection with super ram intake to send over 500 HP to the 400 Turbo automatic. Riding on all-coilover suspension and with Wilwood 4-wheel disc brakes on board, this skillfully personalized 1955 Bel Air delivers a wonderful Resto Mod experience.
