Meet RM34: A Masterclass 1969 Chevelle RestoMod
The 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle is the undisputed heavyweight champion of the muscle car golden era. While the '68 introduced the iconic Coke-bottle curves, the '69 perfected them with refined styling cues that have made it a permanent fixture in American pop culture. However, what makes this particular Chevelle special isn't just its nostalgic silhouette, it is the fusion of 21st-century supercar engineering with 1960s soul. Subjected to a professional frame-off restoration by New England Muscle Cars, this build abandons the era’s primitive handling in favor of a modern, "no-expense-spared" philosophy. Introducing RM34.

Engine and Power
At the heart of this Chevelle RestoMod lies an LSX 466 cubic inch tall deck engine, a powerhouse built for both longevity and brutal acceleration. This isn't a "crate motor" build; it features a Callies Ultra billet crank and rods, Mast 305 Black Label heads, and a Comp cam specifically spec'd for a broad, aggressive power band. Don't be fooled by the 396 badges!
The fuel system is equally sophisticated, utilizing twin Aeromotive 340LPH pumps and XRP insulated lines to support either 91 octane or E85 fuel, monitored by a GM Corvette fuel sensor. Cooling is handled by a C&R heavy-duty aluminum radiator and twin Spal 3,000 cfm fans. The soundtrack is provided by custom 2-inch stainless headers flowing into a TIG-welded 3-inch X-pipe exhaust, featuring Borla mufflers and hand-fabricated Helmholtz resonators to ensure a refined tone without the "drone."

Exterior Styling
Draped in a sleek silver paint, the exterior remains faithful to the Chevelles legendary lines while dropping subtle hints at its performance capabilities. The chrome is immaculate, complemented by factory-spec dark tinted glass that adds an aggressive, modern contrast.
Lighting has been brought into the modern age with Holley LED headlights and Dakota Digital LED taillights, ensuring visibility matches the car's speed. Every gap and panel alignment reflects the professional caliber of the New England Muscle Cars restoration, resulting in a finish that is as much "show" as it is "go."

Custom Interior
Inside, the cabin is a masterclass in modern comfort by TMI Products. The interior is finished in deep black, featuring electric bucket seats and custom door panels that provide a supportive, ergonomic experience far beyond the 1969 originals.
The driver interacts with a Sparc Industries Triple Crown steering wheel mounted on an Ididit tilt column. Modern conveniences are seamlessly integrated:
-
Vintage Air AC for climate-controlled cruising.
-
Nu Relic power windows for effortless operation.
-
Dakota Digital RTX gauges that communicate directly with the Holley ECU via a CAN interface.
-
The entire cabin has been sound-deadened and outfitted with Douglass ebony short-pile carpet, creating a premium environment.

Chassis, Stance, and Footwork
The stance of this Chevelle is dictated by a Roadster Shop SPEC chassis, which replaces the flexible factory frame with a rigid, high-performance platform. This allows the Ridetech adjustable coilovers and 700lb front springs to work efficiently, providing cornering capabilities that rival modern sports cars.
Power is sent to the pavement through a QA1 carbon fiber driveshaft into a Ford 9-inch rear end with 3:70 gears and an Eaton TruTrac. The car sits perfectly over New Gen "OG Rally" style wheels (19x8.5 front and 20x10.5 rear) wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport tires. Stopping power is revolutionary, utilizing Wilwood big discs controlled by a Bosch iBooster (sourced from Tesla technology), providing modern electric-assisted power braking for incredible pedal feel and safety.
