Check Out This Soon-To-Be-Auctioned Corvette Restomod

Barrett-Jackson auctions seem to always have a couple of awesome restomods on their docket, and I’m glad to say their next one is no exception. At the Scottsdale, Arizona auction, to be held from January 12-20, this awesome little Corvette restomod is hidden away amid a veritable array of high-class vehicles.

Based on a 1957 Corvette body, a lot of work has gone into this piece. The first thing you’ll probably notice is the hood. It’s been totally changed, modelled after the 1967 big-block models. At the back, the trunk lid is a 1953-55 design. The grille teeth have been recessed by half an inch, while new front and rear bumpers have been fabricated. The lenses for the car’s parking lights and turn signals come from a 1932 Buick. All fairly small mods, but they come together beautifully in the finished product. The wheels too, are custom 18 inchers. It’s all been finished in Pearl Yellow, which looks absolutely phenomenal.

Under the hood, there’s a new 6.2 liter LSA Cadillac engine, and the car has been given a new performance chassis. Hooked up to the 556 horsepower engine is a T56 six-speed manual, complete with a vintage Corvette shifter. The ‘Vette boasts C5 front suspension and C4 rear suspension.

The interior is absolutely gorgeous: finished in custom leather, with one-off custom pedals, an incredible wheel, and Classic Instruments gauges complete with Z06 check background. The doors have custom toppers and arm rests, and the dash is padded with yellow leather. Unsurprisingly, there is no reserve set for this gorgeous vehicle.
