1973 Chevrolet Nova Hatchback – 406 Dart V8, Tremec 5-Speed, Award-Winning Professional Build
Offered for sale is an exceptional 1973 Chevrolet Nova Hatchback, professionally restored and extensively upgraded from the frame up. Finished in striking Huntington Blue Pearl over a custom two-tone black and gray interior, this Nova was built as a high-quality street and show car and has earned approximately 50–60 awards over the years, including numerous Best in Show and other honors.
The restoration was professionally completed and included extensive work to the frame, body, drivetrain, interior and supporting components. This was not simply an engine swap or cosmetic refresh—the car was comprehensively rebuilt and carefully finished throughout.
Power comes from a built 406ci Dart-block small-block Chevrolet V8 with Dart cylinder heads, producing approximately 580 horsepower. The engine has fewer than approximately 3,000 miles since completion of the build.
The engine is backed by a Tremec TKO-600 5-speed manual transmission and a 4.11 Positraction rear end, providing the combination of performance and driver involvement expected from a properly built classic muscle car.
Additional performance equipment includes four-wheel power disc brakes, Hedman headers, a 3-inch exhaust system and MSD ignition. The highly detailed engine compartment features polished components, braided lines and extensive attention to presentation.
The custom interior features a black and gray two-tone design, custom upholstery and AutoMeter Pro-Comp instrumentation. The hatch/cargo area has also been custom finished, giving this Nova a distinctive appearance inside and out.
The Huntington Blue Pearl exterior has tremendous depth and complements the classic Cragar SS wheels and Mickey Thompson tires. The hatchback body style makes the car especially distinctive compared with the more commonly encountered Nova coupe.
The custom AutoMeter odometer currently shows approximately 4,670 miles. This reading should not be interpreted as original lifetime chassis mileage because the vehicle was restored and fitted with custom instrumentation. Actual original chassis mileage is unknown. The built 406ci engine has fewer than approximately 3,000 miles since the build.
The vehicle has a clean title and has been carefully maintained as a show and enthusiast vehicle.
