This Lowriding 1100-HP 1964 Ford Galaxie Is The Stuff Of Dreams

Every so often you come across a restomod that looks almost too cool, and this 1964 Ford Galaxie is one of them. It’s been dropped so low that it makes regular lowriders look like SUVs, and under the hood you’ll find a beautiful eight-cylinder surprise. The engine is a 482 ci twin-turbo Ford big block, which makes an eye-watering 1100 horsepower. The engine is mated to a classic 4L80-E transmission. The car rides on a custom chassis, made both by Art Morrison and in-house by the Galaxie’s rebuilders.

As for style, the body’s seen a dramatic change that goes beyond the obvious height drop. The turbos’ intakes have been fitted to the grill, and the hood now sports a beautiful bulge to allow room for the car’s massive engine. As for the interior, what can I say? It’s been somewhat Mad Max’d. A Pro Street-style cage has been fitted, which is necessary considering the amount of body roll you could expect from this level of power. The dash and console have been stripped to simple metal. There’s no room for vanity on this ride.

This car is brash and obnoxious in a way that I can really get behind. I hope you can too.
