A quality build completed in 2009, this 1965 Mustang Resto Mod benefits from an abundance of well-chosen aftermarket performance parts and decades of inspiration. Since the first GT350 rumbled out of Shelby’s compound, the early Mustang has proven to be an extremely capable performer when given the right tools, and this one has them all. Keith Craft supplied the car’s 331 CI stroker small-block engine, which uses an Eagle crank and rods, 2.5-inch stainless-steel exhaust with Magnaflow mufflers, a Moroso deep sump oil pan, aluminum heads and a roller cam to achieve 450 HP. A Kevlar clutch makes the connection to the Ford 9-inch rear end via a Tremec 5-speed manual transmission.
