1969 Chevrolet Camaro

To many, the 1969 Camaro is the quintessential Camaro, largely defining the Chevrolet’s famous pony car. Available with a number of optional extras, it could be as basic or sporty as the customer wanted. Muscle-car fanatics and hot rodders alike both loved the versatility Camaro afforded—parts were easy to get, modifications were easy to make, and really, with the right checkbook and talent, the sky was the limit.

The subject of a rotisserie restoration, this Camaro received a number of modifications to put it head and shoulders above most of the competition. Under the hood is a 502/502 HP big-block V-8 linked to a Muncie 4-speed manual transmission. Hooker Headers flow to dual exhaust, while an aluminum radiator keeps things cool. Helping create a sweeter driving experience are a Detroit Speed front end, power steering and brakes as well as BF Goodrich front and rear tires wrapping staggered Foose 18-inch and 20-inch wheels. Inside, the car boasts a center console, RS/SS gauges, an aftermarket stereo system, and a custom Houndstooth interior recalling the optional factory interior trim. Refreshed in Orange with White Stripes, and sporting Z28 badges, this Camaro is likely exactly what many owners from back in the day aspired to build.
