16 Restomods Headlining Mecum Chicago 2014
Heads up Chicago. Mecum is coming to town, October 9-11 2014 at the Schaumburg Convention Center. The lot list is bulging with nearly 1,000 vehicles for sale. As usual there are all kinds of awesome cars set to cross the block, and as usual we are interested only in the restomods. Of course there are going to be some restored–modified cars that aren’t labeled restomods per se, but today we are just taking a look at the cars that are specifically called out in the program as restomods.
1955 Chevrolet Nomad
Not Sold, top bid $45,000
With the popularity of Nomads going through the roof in recent years, expect this one to get up into the high numbers. It’s beautifully and tastefully done. I bet most casual observers wouldn’t be able to spot the mods at first glance, but I similarly bet they are immediately obvious to anyone taking it for a spin.
