The 1966 Chevelle SS Sweepstakes Car Details
We get a lot of questions and requests for more information about our current sweepstakes car, the 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 427. Below is a full gallery of photos and videos of the car we call the “Red Baron.” This sweepstakes started May 2nd, 2019 and it ends July 15th, 2019.
This ’66 Chevelle SS that we are giving away is a true 138 code SS that originally came with a 396 V8 engine (cowl tag included in gallery). It has been swapped with a 427 V8 Turbo Jet engine from a period correct Corvette. In addition, the Muncie M22 4 speed transmission that this Chevelle rolled off the factory with still sends horsepower and torque to the rear wheels to this day. This car is the perfect and delightfully tasteful blend of Resto and Mod, just check out some more of the specs:
