In what is a stunning warning to anyone who thinks drag racing isn’t dangerous, this guy literally almost dies. It’s incomprehensible that he walks away from this crash. The crazy part is at the beginning of the race, the Bel Air is far more in control. The Camaro is weaving left and right and can barely maintain its lane. The Bel Air reacts to one of the Camaro’s swerves, over-corrects, and the rest is gruesome.
The car flips maybe 3-4 times, and comes to a rest with the driver’s legs hanging out of the windshield and you fear the worst. But then he pulls his legs in, opens the door, and emerges from the vehicle seemingly unscathed. Maybe just in shock?
