For Sale: Insane Mitchell Motorworks 1969 Camaro SS RS

If you have been clicking over to the FOR SALE area of the site, you may have been seeing this featured car for sale for quite awhile now. Why hasn’t it sold you ask? Maybe it has something to do with the $250,000 price tag? Were going to take a closer look at this amazing car.

This build from Mitchell Motor Works is the result of years of restoration and fabrication and is the picture definition of a restomod. No expense was spared when it came to the performance and look of the Camaro. To Clarify the car’s title, Chevrolet offered a RS(Rally Sport) package that included spoilers, hidden headlights and a killer upgrade in the interior. If you wanted the ultimate Camaro you would order the RS and SS packages together resulting in top-of-the-line whip.

CONTROL

The car is a rotisserie and was completely disassembled down to the frame. The suspension had to be all new, in order for it to a track-ready street car. They Started with Heidt’s Pro-G front end and every component, brakes to ball joints, is all new. An adjustable 4-link holds the Moser 12 bolt rear in place. Front and rear are tied together with fully welded subframe connectors. For the ultimate stopping power, Wilwood 13” brakes in the front and 12” in the rear are commanded by a Hydra-Tech/Wilwood master cylinder. Whats crazy is that even Without the drivetrain added into the build, this car is well into six figures. They Spared no expense.

POWER

To say this is the world’s most capable Camaro is not an understatement as Mitchell turned to the LS tuning masters over at NicKey Chicago. Their Stage II LS3 makes 575 HP and has CNC ported cylinder heads. 575 hp is sent through a T56 six-speed manual transmission to the 12 bolt rear end. The TrueTrac differential has 3.73 gears for comfortable highway cruising. An all stainless exhaust features dual cut-outs before the X-pipe if you need to wake your neighbors. Engine controls are all GM, with electronic throttle control and cruise control.

SOUND

The interior Sound system pumps with Alpine audio. The 7” touchscreen has Bluetooth connectivity along with USB and satellite radio. All vehicle systems are controlled by touch pads, including the Vintage Air system. Corbeau black leather seats straddle a handmade center console. Kindig door handles and ambient lighting are among the myriad of other aspects that make this Camaro one for the ages.
