Got A Spare $229K? This Incredible Bel Air Could Be Yours

They say that the best things in life are free. That may be true for things like love, happiness, and good friends, but it’s not always true. Quality restomods are most definitely not free. This Bel Air is going for the price of a new house across much of the country, but hey, you know what? It’s worth the pricetag.

The car rides on a custom Art Morrison chassis, complete with coilover suspension, nine-inch rear axle, and disc brakes on all four wheels. Its body was given a meticulous restoration, with new sheet metal being formed, before being repainted in two-stage red. The trim has all been restored to its shiny, chrome brilliance too.

Inside, you’ll find an entirely new interior waiting for you, and what an interior it is. Fitted by Steve Holcomb, of Pro Auto Custom Interior in Knoxville, it features LED lighting, power bucket seats, A/C, a new sound system, and instruments by Classic Instruments.

It’s what’s under the Bel Air’s hood that is undoubtedly the main attraction to many, though. You won’t find an LS3 in here, no sir. Instead, a 427 LS7 has been opted for. The result is a cracking roar that sounds like Satan’s hungover moans, and 505 horsepower. This engine is linked to a four-speed automatic transmission, making it a perfectly raucous cruiser.
