Mecum Kansas City 2014 Restomod Roundup
Another month, another Mecum auction. This time they are headed to Missouri, and among the over 750 vehicles we plucked out twelve modded out gems. So even if you can’t get over to the Kansas City convention center December 4-6 2014, take a gander at these pictures and find some fodder for your restomod dreams.
1950 Chevrolet Sedan

1967 Chevrolet Bel Air

From the outside, this ’57 Bel Air looks almost original (except the wheels). However, the wheels are just foreshadowing to the fully custom interior. From the custom “57” embroidered on the rear bench seat to the center console with cup holders in the front, someone spent time to make sure these updates look the part.

1951 Hudson

Not a lot of details on this listing, but someone clearly put some love into it. Perfect for the guy who wants to impress their young kid with a burgundy modernized version of Doc Hudson from Disney’s Cars. Yeah, I have kids and if you don’t that reference just went sailing over your head.

Either way, this is a really cool unique ride that someone has painstakingly restored and rebuilt. This one is going to be a steal.

My personal favorite of the Rods. I guess this would be considered a Street Rod as well. I just love the futuristic and simple take this restoration has. Electric green paint, clean interior, all electric gauges. Great looking ride.
