Our Picks From The Upcoming Barrett-Jackson Northeast Auction
Are you in the northeast, and in the market for a beautiful restomod? Or maybe you just want to stare at some gorgeous cars? Then get yourself to the Barrett-Jackson Northeast 2019 auction, being held at the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut. The docket for this auction is full to bursting with beautiful classics, including both pristine restorations and restomods. As you might have guessed, we’re more interested in the latter. Here are just a few of our favorites.
The G54: 1954 Buick Special Custom Coupe
Reserve: None
Created by Rad Rides by Troy of Manteno, Illinois, this gorgeous car—finished in chocolate and cognac paint—is completely custom. The headlights have been updated, while the taillights have been sourced from a 1962 Chevy. Both bumpers have been tucked and the trim smoothed.
Inside you’ll find Dynamat insulation, Ultra-suede lining, and speaker cloth borrowed from Gibson amps. Power seats are from Mercedes-Benz, and amenities include a tilt wheel, Vintage Air, three-point belts and billet door handles.
The engine is the supercharged AMG V8 from a G55—around 530 hp thanks to an Eaton blower, Big Stuff 3 injection and MSD ignition.
1955 Pontiac Chieftain: "Big Chief 509"

Frame-off restored and built like a hot-rod: 509 ci roller V8 with custom steel heads, dual-quad Edelbrock 500 cfm carbs, Ram-tube intake and a Turbo 350 feeding a Dutchman 9" rear.
Fat Man Stage III front suspension, TCI four-link rear, Torq-Thrust IIs. Shaved handles, frenched halogens, fuel filler hidden in the driver-side taillight, classic flame paint.
1964 Chevrolet Impala SS Custom Convertible

Pristine rag-top packing a 409 big-block with dual-quad Edelbrock 500s, COMP cam, HEI ignition and a Griffin aluminum radiator. Turbo 350 auto, Ford 9" rear, six-piston front / four-piston rear disc brakes.
Air-ride, Centerline wheels, Dakota Digital dash, two-tone leather, new cloth top—pure '60s swagger with modern manners.
1967 Chevrolet Corvette Custom Convertible
