Roush 670 hp Stage 3 Mustang is a Banger!

The RS3’s supercharged 5.0-liter Coyote V8 looks like it will be in excess of 630 horsepower. Roush was being rather coy with that figure, revealing today that the RS3 pumps out no less than 670 HP at its 6800-rpm redline. Thats some serious shit. Lets not forget the 545 lb-ft of torque arriving at 5000 revs, all courtesy of Roush’s 2.3-liter TVR supercharger. The RS3 is a smidge hotter than the 625-horse Petty’s Garage Mustang, which is also available for order at Ford dealers.

The ponies are not the Stage 3’s only trick. Underneath, we get to see features like a front splitter, a hood scoop, a rear deck spoiler, high-flow grille openings, rocker-panel extensions, and a revised rear fascia. Jutting out behind are quad tips hooked up to Roush’s new Active Performance exhaust system, which offers four noise settings. Touring, Sport, and Track settings ramp up the volume as one might expect.
